FAQ
Helpful Information
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
We offer online or telephone sessions, whichever is your preference. Online sessions will take place on a video platform (e.g. Zoom or Microsoft Teams). Your therapist will send you a link and password prior to your session time.
HOW DOES CONFIDENTIALITY WORK?
You can trust that everything you discuss will be kept confidential. Your psychologist is required to have supervision with a qualified Clinical Psychologist to ensure they are providing therapy in line with best practice; your therapist may discuss your sessions but will never share identifying details (e.g. your full name). If your psychologist is concerned about your safety or someone else's safety, they are required by law to share information for purposes of protection.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL A SESSION?
Please give your psychologist 48 hours notice if you need to cancel a session. If you are unable to give 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee will apply.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO YOU OFFER?
We tend not to limit sessions to a particular number as we want to tailor the therapy to what you are looking for. During the first session we will talk to you about your goals and aims for therapy and may agree an initial set of sessions.
WHEN ARE SESSIONS AVAILABLE?
Please contact an individual psychologist for their availability. Sessions are typically offered Monday to Friday in the daytime or evening.
WHAT IS THE ACCREDITATION FOR A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST?
We are all accredited by the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) which sets ethical and professional standards. Clinical psychologists undergo a minimum of six years of training specialised in working with mental health difficulties in children and adults.
